Remember the Trolls doll? This doll, which has become an icon in the '80s and '90s, is known by almost everyone around the world. The trolls we know have wide round eyes and their fuzzy hair is combed upwards in different colors.
The Trolls, a group of creatures who live happily in a place, are suddenly disturbed by the arrival of bergens , giants who attack the village to eat the Trolls. The Trolls, led by the energetic and always cheerful Poppy (Anna Kendrick), and accompanied by Branch (Justin Timberlake), they unite to save the other Trolls. Two very different Trolls, the always grumbling Branch, Poppy always cheerful. Branch hates music, Poppy loves to sing. The two couples try to accept their differences, while working together on an adventure they've never experienced before.
When their friends are kidnapped by the giant Bergens, the two must put aside their differences to save their friends and head to Bergen Town. This Trolls film is more about a group of colorful little creatures who always sing and are happy. On the other hand, there is a group of Bergens people who are very different from the life of the Trolls, this group of Bergens People is always gloomy and has the belief that they will be happy when they can eat the Trolls.
One day when Poppy is having a party for her citizens, Bergens arrives who spoils their fun and kidnaps some Trolls. Not wanting his friends to die at the hands of Bergens, Poppy goes to the enemy's lair with the help of Branch, who initially doesn't want to interfere.
After passing through various obstacles, Poppy and Branch finally arrived in the land of Bergens. Unfortunately, Poppy and Branch have to witness one of the captured Trolls, Creek (Russell Brand) being eaten alive by the King of the Bergens, Gristle (John Cleese).
Not wanting to give up, Poppy and Branch keep trying to save their remaining friends. Poppy always teaches Branch to keep positive thinking. After meeting with the other trolls, Poppy intends to meet King Gristle and save Creek, which he believes is not dead.
But this effort is of course not easy. Poppy and Branch must face off against a royal chef who will soon be cooking all the Trolls he's caught for the Bergens people's feast. In addition, in the midst of trying to save the trolls, Poppy and Branch must face the fact that there is a traitor among them.

Happiness is a theme that is tried to be explored in the animated musical Trolls. In this film it is also said that happiness does not depend on outsiders, but happiness resides within each person.
